Folk dance company "Politechnic" was founded in 1946.

During company's existence more than 3000 amateurs - most of which were students - studied the art of dance here.
Members of Politechnic received large number of awards and displomas.

The company was several times a winner of city's and international festivals of folklore.
In 1987 company became a laureate of 2 All-Union festival of folklore, and in 1988 received an honorary title:

"People's amateur dance company".

During the years of Politechnic's life it visited Bulgaria, Hungary, Chehoslovakia, USA, Poland, and many cities of Ukraine.
Program of the company includes dances of different regions of Ukraine, and dances of peoples around the world.
